This year’s special sMart Summit was designed to explore the up-selling and cross-selling opportunities of the new technology layer sMart Data Warehouse with the top thought leaders amongst our partners in Europe. Our guests enjoyed an exclusive event with customer cases, extensive hands on experience and customized afternoon workshop tracks for both, sales oriented as well as technical interested participants, designed to facilitate growth for our partners' businesses.

Complimentary to Observer Video Management and iCAT Video Analytics, sMart Data Warehouse contextualizes security and business data to provide specifically tailored information for each user
and the tasks at hand. The professional Data Warehouse technology and elaborate interfaces allow also for the integration of third party sensors and other data sources. Since the NETAVIS Platform
for Security and Business is complete with the new technology sMart Data Warehouse, we are in a position to generate real added value with IP video for our customers.

The morning was filled with information regarding the NETAVIS Platform for Security and Business, in order to increase the knowledge about IP video and the latest product news from iCAT Video
Analytics and sMart Data Warehouse. Use cases about projects with sMart in the city, mall, bank, shop and museum aligned with the Dashboards and Reports of sMart Data Warehouse at our booth
gave visitors information about customer frequencies and customer segmentations at a glance and demonstrated the value of the technology:

Also live data from the event location was displayed directly in sMart. For example, we counted the people at the entrance with both iCAT Video Analytics and a 3D sensor from Vivotek, and sMart visualized both frequencies in form of intuitive charts. Furthermore, visitors were able to get a preview of future sMart features, like the inclusion of open street maps or image files like floor plans as a background for visualisations.

Of course we also presented the most recent updates for NETAVIS Observer and NETAVIS iCAT, including live showcases for Face Detection with age group and gender estimation, People Counting, the creation of Heat Maps, Perimeter Security and Number Plate Recognition.

The user experience session during the sales track in the afternoon allowed our partners to familiarize themselves with sMart and experience the intuitive handling of the data warehouse live during our quiz. The technical track was designed as a special sMart training to address topics like easy intstallation and configuration, as well as hands-on sessions directly in sMart.

We also enjoyed the night out with our partners at the Aux Gazelles, a cosmopolitan oriental heaven right in the heart of Vienna, exclusively sponsored by Hikvision. As an expert in server-based video management and video analytics, we have launched NETAVIS iCAT JumpStart: A time limited initiative, where we provide iCAT Video Analytics for free with Observer, in order to underline the technological advance of this solution and to Jump Start the broad usage of the new product, sMart Data Warehouse. What has been a part of NETAVIS Observer Video Management for a decade is also included commercially now.
