Since more than a decade, NETAVIS Software manages large and complex video surveillance projects with several thousand cameras each in the Middle East. Consequently, at the worldwide biggest security and safety fair in Dubai, NETAVIS focused on presenting solutions that are primarily thought for such large and complex solutions.

On top of NETAVIS Observer and NETAVIS iCAT benefits, NETAVIS was able to present NETAVIS Caberra: an integration platform, which combines video surveillance and analytics data with data input of other IP systems. Physical security applications, facility management systems, and business process applications can thus be monitored and operated from a single interface. Moreover, intertwined workflows – with or without human interaction – can be executed according to the project-specific needs. This makes the handling of large and complex physical security environments easy, provides highly elaborated process automation and reduces error proneness. With Caberra technology, NETAVIS is able to provide value for physical security installations like no other video surveillance system.

These three showcases demonstrated how Caberra works: General Integration Platform: NETAVIS Caberra can integrate all different kinds of physical security systems, like alarm, fire, access control, and facility management systems. Visitors were able to see and work with the user interface at our booth. Service and System Management: NETAVIS Caberra continuously monitors the entire installation and the hardware components. Failures and weaknesses in the system are reported immediately and respective actions can be taken. Perimeter Security: NETAVIS Caberra showed 4 possible levels of escalation as a consequence of unauthorized access. As soon as a person is detected, iCAT triggers an alarm. The event is forwarded to Caberra, which gradually implements three different actions.

Beside this innovative integration platform, NETAVIS of course showed different functionalities of the video management platform NETAVIS Observer. Countless visitors were able to convince themselves live of NETAVIS Layout Navigation, Online Monitoring and other modules for large installations. The NETAVIS solutions for integrated video analytics attracted special attention and especially age and gender estimation, people counting and heatmaps as well as iCAT Traffic created considerable interest among the visitors. The highlight though was iCAT Numberblate Recognition, which will be presented this year with NETAVIS Observer 4.6.
