For perimeter security, iCAT supports object tracking regions as well as virtual tripwires with self-learning component. Any event, like an object crossing the field or tripwire, as well as an object stopping or starting to move inside the field, can be defined to trigger an alarm in the NETAVIS Observer event management system. The powerful object detection, tracking and event triggering can also be restricted to object size, speed, stopping time and other properties.

Rule Administration allows for an even further extended alarm and action management, as detected events are easily configured to trigger specific actions,like showing the camera in large view, sending an e-mail or setting a PTZ position. In addition, iCAT can also trigger an alarm in case of a camera sabotage detection.  Varied scheduling options per camera improve this solution even further.
