After the successful market launch of NETAVIS Observer 4.6 with the ground-breaking new module iCAT Number Plate
Recognition in combination with other powerful features like Rule Administration and Graphical I/O Device Administration,
NETAVIS proudly presents the second release in this product line: NETAVIS Observer 4.6.1. Enhancements in the module
iCAT NPR are the focus of this release, delivering an even preciser license plate recognition on the VMS server.
| The European and Arabic NPR modules now also detect the country of origin of the license plates. Additionally, the Arabic module detects the colour code of the plates, which in the Middle East represents the registered type of vehicle, e.g. private or governmental vehicles, taxis or trucks. As shown on the right, both the country of origin and the colour are listed in the event details, allowing an easy search for all plates from a specific country or of a specific type. |  |
The newest version of NETAVIS iCAT Number Plate Recognition also offers more flexibility with separators, as it is now
possible to match number plates with or without separators or blanks. Administrators can freely decide how plates shall be
stored on their NPR lists.
