The Shopping Center „Wien Mitte - The Mall“ is analyzing its true customer potential via video technology since autumn 2014. For the innovative project, KAPSCH BusinessCom now received the NETAVIS Video Analytics Award 2015.
The video management platform NETAVIS Observer manages 18 IP cameras at building entrances and staircases. The seamlessly integrated iCAT video analytics counts all incoming people, at the main entrance NETAVIS counts peaks of up to 2.500 people per hour with only one camera. The high-performance video analytics software only requires a single standard IT server for this processing performance. By means of an encrypted FTPS upload, the frequency data is automatically sent to the NETAVIS sMart Data Warehouse. sMart was individually customized to meet the specific requirements of WIEN MITTE - The Mall. The customer is provided with clearly defined periodical reports in PDF format per e-mail, the intuitive presentation of the customer frequency allows for clarity regarding the shopping mall's true customer potential. The video streams themselves are of no interest in this project. |
